What is the concept of revenge in Indian mythology?
Revenge is a common theme in Indian mythology, as many of the stories and legends involve characters seeking to avenge a wrongdoing or injustice that has been done to them or their loved ones. However, the concept of revenge in Indian mythology is often intertwined with the broader themes of dharma (righteousness) and karma (action and consequence).

In Hinduism, it is believed that one's actions have consequences, both in this life and in future lives. Therefore, seeking revenge can have karmic consequences, and it is often portrayed as a last resort or a measure of last resort. Instead, the emphasis is on following dharma and letting karma take its course.

Many of the stories in Indian mythology also emphasize the importance of forgiveness and compassion, even in the face of great injustice. For example, in the epic poem, the Mahabharata, the hero Arjuna struggles with the idea of seeking revenge against his enemies, who have wronged him and his family. However, he ultimately chooses to follow his duty and fight for dharma, rather than seeking revenge for personal reasons.
