In Hindu mythology, Hanuman is a central character in the epic poem, the Ramayana, which tells the story of Lord Rama and his quest to rescue his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana. When Lord Rama's army reached Lanka, the capital city of Ravana's kingdom, Hanuman was sent to search for Sita.
After many trials and obstacles, Hanuman eventually found Sita imprisoned in a grove in Lanka. Hanuman approached Sita and introduced himself as a messenger of Lord Rama. He then gave her a ring that Lord Rama had given him as a token of his love and affection.
In front of Sita, Hanuman also revealed his true form as a vanara (a humanoid monkey) and demonstrated his immense strength and power by uprooting trees and mountains. This display of strength was intended to reassure Sita that Lord Rama's army was strong enough to defeat Ravana and rescue her from captivity.
Hanuman also spoke to Sita at length, offering her words of comfort and solace. He assured her that Lord Rama was coming to rescue her and that she would soon be reunited with her beloved husband. Sita was greatly moved by Hanuman's devotion and courage, and she bestowed her blessings upon him.
Hanuman's encounter with Sita is a powerful moment in the Ramayana and is often depicted in art and literature as an example of unwavering devotion and loyalty.
